Hi
We are a hard working family on our farm in Scotland
I have been involved in agricultural clubs and organisations on a local and national level for over 40 years
My youngest son Jack has been racing Motocross since year 2000
I wanted to give him a more Work/Life balance than I had experienced
I have seen first hand the huge benefits to the kids being involved in this sport
Kids grow in determination ,focus and confidence on there own accomplishments while retaining so much respect for each other
These are really sound building blocks for any kids future
Not to mention exhilarating fun for all involved
There is so much camaraderie between parents
My aim is to promote and develop Youth Motocross in Scotland through promotional events and race meetings
Firstly I would select a team of six qualified youth riders aging from 5yrs to 16yrs to compete in a Winter Series in Northern Ireland
To take place in October 2025
Motocross is the only motorsport that is remotely financially accessible to the vast majority but is still very expensive
Motorbikes , fuel , parts , vans , license , entry fees etc
I would use any funding raised by subsidising 50% of the return ferry costs directly occurring to the families of the children entering this event in Ireland
Each family would take over a van with its own accommodation and bikes to the cost of £300/family which has already been subsisted by Nut Travel
£1800 in total
I would like to subsidise this by 50%
£900 in total

Why are we crowdfunding?
This is where you should explain the reason you need to raise money, are you launching a new women's team? Perhaps you need to improve facilities or buy new kit? Tell us here.
If you're applying for extra funding, this is a good place to demonstrate why your project is eligible so refer back to the criteria to help complete this section

How we’ll spend the money raised
It’s important to be transparent about how you plan to spend the money you raise. Your audience will be more likely to make a pledge if they can see how their donation will help. Be specific and add a budget breakdown.

Community impact
It’s important to explain the wider impact of your organisation for the whole community, who does it benefit and why? Perhaps your facilities are used for other purposes outside of sport too?

How you can play your part
There are four simple ways to help us reach our target, and make this project a reality.
1. Make a pledge. Don’t delay if you’re going to support us because momentum is key to our success!
2. Spread the word. Share our project on your social media pages and tell the world to get behind us! The more people we reach, the more support we will get.
3. Offer rewards. Get involved if you are a local business by donating things we can offer to our supporters. We will give you a shout out!
4. Fundraise for us. If you want to run your own fundraiser – maybe a sponsored activity or similar – use the 'contact project' button at the top of our page to let us know. Setting up your own page only takes a few minutes and you won’t need any bank details. Just a fun idea!
