Overview
This is an upcycling project that will involve the YP’s sourcing a piece of furniture that they have located themselves. They will look for pieces that are either about to be thrown away, or can be purchased cheaply from places such as ebay, depop, facebook marketplace etc. Once these have been acquired, the YP’s will design the upcycle of the piece and sell it using one of the aforementioned vehicles. YP’s will be encouraged to be as creative and flamboyant as they wish, with a strong focus on the uniqueness of their pieces. When the item is sold, the money raised will be split 80/20 with 80% going back into project costs and future sustainability and 20% going towards an activity for the YP’s.
