Aim: Empowering & Rehabilitative music workshops to Prisoners & Ex-Offenders.— building skills, confidence & paths to creative careers.

My name is Aid Lewis, and I am the founder of YFABOUT.RECORDS CIC, a brand new community interest Company based in Kent. Our mission is to support rehabilitation, Mental health and personal development through music, Music Production and storytelling, for Prisoners , Ex-Offenders.

Having previously worked inside HMP Elmley as a freelance Music Workshop leader, After the contract ended we knew the work must continue, we then set YFABOUT.RECORDS CIC up to continue our work to help with rehabilitation that we’ve seen truly work. We have remarkable success stories and have seen first hand the change in many participants. We pride ourselves on being flexible and keeping things simple & effective. We have a fantastic experienced all women Board of Directors with vast experience in charity work , theatrical production , Music Industry, Mental health and 10 years experience within UK Prisons.

We have had confirmation after a successful meeting at a prison in Kent that they would love to have us involved, after meeting with the prisoners and receiving such positive feedback and excitement for them wanting to make a change and be part of it really inspired our purpose further and that’s why we’re now asking for financial help to get rolling. 

We are a not for profit , So all proceeds go straight back into our CIC. These funds will help with basic start up costs and allow us to get inside Prisons straight away. We are awaiting grants which can take up to 6 months so with the confirmation of the first prison we want to get going immediately. Costs will cover things such as website , Equipment for participants , Social Media Presence and All the appropriate insurances and much much more. We're grateful for what ever difference you can make.
