Year 6's Hop, Skip, Run and Jump to HOLLYWOOD!

Since the first lockdown, our Year 6s have missed out on not only seeing their friends and teachers, but also on the trips and events throughout Year 5 and 6 such as camping at the River Dart and the big trip to London that they look forward to from when they start school!

This year has been a year like no other and we have struggled to fundraise like we normally would in order to subsidise the end of year activities that give Year 6 the farewell they deserve. We are still not able to go to London, but we are hoping to continue with:

• an activities week (a replacement for London, but of course on a much smaller scale!) and
• best of all, PROM!

Year 6 have voted that this year’s prom theme will be HOLLYWOOD. Therefore, in order to give Year 6 the ultimate goodbye, we will be hopping, skipping, jumping and running to Hollywood in order to raise money for our activities week and most importantly, PROM!

The mission will involve 5,326 miles over 30 days. We will be outside, hopping, skipping, jumping and running whatever the weather and we will make it to Hollywood (although it may not be quite as sunny as imagined!)

We are hoping to raise enough money to give Year 6 one big final send off and are hoping that everyone in the local area will get behind our challenge!
