We are a youth work charity supporting young people in the Fareham, Gosport, Havant and Fratton ward in Portsmouth.
Y Services provides youth clubs and one to one opportunities for young people primarily between the ages of 11-19 years. Our programmes are creative and fun, with a focus on supporting young people through their adolescence.
We know that being a teenager can be a difficult time. We want to support as many young people as possible with activities that help them to stay safe, be healthy, provide work related skills and develop opportunities to participate in their communities. We also use our Y bus to reach those young people in the community and on the streets who would benefit from positive engagement with the charity.
We have youth clubs that support young people with additional needs (Focus youth club) , work in areas of deprivation where our youth club settings offer snacks and refreshments, knowing that this may be the child's meal that evening and one to one support for young people who are disengaging from school, have mental health issues or struggling with their confidence and self esteem. Y Services provides trusted adults to support young people, creating the environment to enable young people to express themselves and receive support as required.
