Aim: We would like to raise money to buy Christmas presents for looked after children in Salford.
We would like to raise money to buy Christmas presents for looked after children in Salford.
Each year people donate new presents and cash, and the cash is used to buy presents. The presents are stored at St Marys Church in Penry Avenue in Cadishead. The looked after children’s team let us know how many presents are needed for each age and gender and we buy presents with the cash and take the presents to Swinton Town Hall and then the looked after children team distribute them to the children.
Some children wouldn't get any Christmas presents otherwise. They are greatly appreciated and make the children feel cared for at Christmas.
