Hope Needs a Home.
To be able to come together we need a place, Coventry Cathedral's Chapter House, to engage with charities, groups, and communities. to help with social welfare, whether that is helping with mental health, financial advice, meeting people with similar interests or a club to help with loneliness, we have a room, however, it needs to be fit for the purpose for community engagement. It needs refurbishing to make the space safe and appropriate for charities and community groups to use and thrive in Coventry City Centre.
We are hoping to make the Chapter House room a useful, welcoming, and comfortable to engage with our communities and for them to engage with each other.
The cost of refurbishing the room is going to be £30,000 which includes equipment and the first years operational costs.
Can You Help by supporting or donating towards this project for outreach to the hard to reach, giving space for a hand up not a hand out, and for simply being well for well-being.
Living in hope is about more than optimism. It is about finding practical ways, great and small, to change how we see, think and act, in striving for a kinder, more compassionate world.
Coventry Cathedral and Ruins is a home for hope, for reconciliation and peace, who could love and live without any of these basic human needs, the alternative is hopelessness, conflict and war!
At Coventry Cathedral our mission has always been to support the well-being and growth of local people in Coventry and Warwickshire. We deliver this through educational, social, and peace building programmes. We build a culture of fairness and peace, healing the wounds of history, learning to live with difference, celebrating diversity and being open and welcoming to all. Coventry Cathedral’s values include respecting and caring for one another and communicating hope.
The Cathedral plays an important role in serving the community, the development of society and engaging in positive projects to improve the lives of all local people.
