Our project is based around a comprehensive digital media/ editing and broadcast/ life skills training course, for up to 25 people over 12 months approx. Whilst the project is for everyone within the communities we serve, we want to focus on engaging with the long term unemployed, economically inactive and disadvantaged/marginalised groups primarily. This project will deliver a number of soft key life skills - namely communication, confidence /self-esteem, public speaking, team building, ICT skills, and problem solving. As an organisation we are big into continuous improvement, every course is evaluated by our learners, so we can learn from it and make improvements when needed. We believe that many learners of this project will complete the training, with renewed confidence and self esteem to gain employment or re-engage with education, and for some it is about turning their life around by just increasing social circles, and by volunteering with us. Hull is a diverse city with a rich cultural heritage, yet a significant population of the city face economic challenges and lack of resources. This is where 24 seven lifestyle steps in with our unique training that will build vital skills and lead to a higher level of employment in our community. On this project, which will be split into 5x 8-10 week courses for 10 people per course, the learner will learn everything they need to know about what goes into digital media editing and media broadcasting, from the 24 seven office. Our project will make a difference by giving skills to the volunteers, a voice to the community and training to volunteers.
