• I have been an umpire & player at Wisbech Town hockey club for the last 5 years, it is a really great club & we have struggled with the pitch since I joined. As a club umpire I would really like to be able to see the ball so that I can make better decisions, I have had to umpire many games in the dark & where the floodlights are broken you can't track or see the ball. The last game I umpired was pretty bad in the dark & rain & I was nearly at the point of quitting umpiring. Also as a player it would be amazing to have a proper dug out so that our kit doesn't get soaked when we play in the rain. I have also been coaching & it would be really good to have a covered space & a better spectator area. Any support would be gratefully appreciated.
