0World of Owls is a self funded registered charity and the only one of its kind on the entire island of Ireland North and South. We have been in existence for over 25 years recuing all sorts of wildlife primarily Owls, birds of prey and exotic animals.
We are the largest animal educators in Northern Ireland and have the largest schools audience in the UK & Ireland.
We get NO government or any other support and rely on the generosity of the public to help us maintain a healthy balance of owl species around the world along with likeminded organisations.
After re-mortgaging the family home during the pandemic to keep our animals alive whilst Golf Clubs and such got millions in government grants we have had to scrimp and save to keep doing what we do.
We are educational award winners and winners of tourism awards for Northern Ireland.
Having struggled through the pandemic we were further kicked in the teeth with The Irish Sea Border restrictions which meant we can no longer bring food in for our animals from England, we now have to import from Europe. This has sent our food bill soaring a crazy 400% increase.
