The charity provides facilities for outdoor lawn bowling for members and visitors on its self maintained bowling green in Wooler, Northumberland. It also provides facilities for indoor sporting and other recreational activities throughout the year as well as making it's clubhouse available to local groups and organisations . The club enters County wide completions and plays friendly games regularly with other clubs in the North East. The clubhouse has dining, catering, changing and toilet facilities as well as a separate viewing pavilion. Membership of our friendly club is open to everyone and new members, whether experienced bowlers or beginners, will be assured of a warm welcome. Beginners will be given free tuition if requested.

The club is a registered Charitable Incorporated Organisation registration number 1188472
Its objectives are:
To promote community participation in healthy recreation for the benefit of, principally but not exclusively, the residents of North Northumberland and the Scottish Borders by the provision of facilities to participate in the sport of bowling and such other sports capable of promoting physical health and fitness as the trustees shall from time to time determine.
Currently sports include Lawn Bowling during the outdoor season April to September, with Carpet Bowls and Table Tennis in the closed winter season.
Members may use the facilities at any time they wish. During the outdoor season there are meetings three times per week for playing on a social basis, plus internal competitions, friendly matches against other clubs in Northumberland and beyond and league matches in the North Northumberland League.
