Help them get started
Your support makes a difference
Aim: Wellness in the Wild supports young children to improve their mental and physical well being by connecting with nature.
Wellness in the Wild is run by Claire, a trained primary school teacher with over 10 years of experience working with children and their families; her purpose is to help children achieve balance in their lives by using nature, movement, healthy cookery and other mindful opportunities.
Since having children and losing her father to cancer, Claire has recently received a diagnosis for ADHD. Spending time outdoors, exercising her body, really helps her to balance the symptoms. With her family, Claire loves going on walks, bike rides, building dens and playing football.
She is now passionate to motivate and support other parents, and their children to embrace time outside as something which vitally contributes towards a healthier lifestyle.
To help kick start the business, Claire would love some financial help. It would pay for marketing (a large banner with the company logo), a tipi/bell tent for shelter, resources (such as wood for woodwork) and to start to lease an outdoor premises. The money would also contribute towards paying for a Forest School course which specialises in supporting children with their mental health.
