Without is back and heading to the Edinburgh Fringe!
After a fantastic stint at The Vaults in 2022, Without is so excited to be heading to the Edinburgh Fringe 2023 from 15th-27th August, performing in the one and only iconic fringe venue, Underbelly (Cowgate - Big Belly at 5pm). We are a small but hardworking group of creatives working tirelessly to make it to Edinburgh, and if you are reading this, we need your help...
We would love your support!
In recent years, the Edinburgh Fringe accommodation and travel is becoming increasingly inaccessible for independent shows with little financial support. We're not asking you to fully fund this show, but your donations of whatever you can spare will be extremely helpful. Some of the other things your donations could be contributing to;
- Accommodation
- Travel
- Venue hire
- Costume
- Set
- Tech
- Rehearsal space
- Marketing materials
We over-achieved our last goal of £500 to £1,500 which we were insanely grateful for and humbled by. We would love to try and reach that same number again. As an added incentive, all supporters will have their name printed in our programme.
More about the show...
Without is an intimate, vibrant and authentic new contemporary musical, telling a story of unlikely friendship, the power of music, and what a "home" truly is. Over one day on a busy street corner, Henry, a busker, and Rose, a runaway, find unexpected camaraderie and challenge within each other. As the pair confront Henry's estrangement from his family and his once-cherished career as a music teacher, and Rose's struggle to return to a home that won't accept her queer identity, they discover the importance of kindness, understanding and belonging – not only to others, but to yourself.
