On Sunday 26th May, the Withdean Youth Under 9s team are playing in a charity tournament at Selhurst Park. The event is organised by Goals4Gosh to raise vital funds for Great Ormond Street Hospital charity. We have a minimum team target of £450 (but aiming to smash this!) which will help GOSH support seriously ill children and their families.
GOSH provide family accommodation which ensures parents can stay close to their child during a difficult time; they fund pioneering research and specialised equipment that lead to kinder treatments for children, and build cutting-edge facilities to offer world-leading care.
TEAM MARATHON!!!
On Saturday 11th May the boys will be taking on a team marathon run around Preston Park velodrome. Between them they will cover an epic 26.2miles putting their fitness (thanks Ross Blake) and determination to the test! Please sponsor or support if you can 😀
This morning, in 23oC heat and following 90 minutes of football training, the boys took to Preston Park and completed 26.2miles of laps between them. What an amazing team effort! Thanks to Ross Blake for their fitness and training and epic organising.
They’re rightly proud of their running and fundraising efforts and want to say a huge thank you to all their generous sponsors. What a difference this will make to the children and families helped by Great Ormond Street Hospital.
