Welcome to Witcombe Cricket Club – a proud hub of local sporting spirit and community warmth nestled in the heart of Gloucestershire.

We’re home to over 80 youth cricketers, two thriving men’s teams, and a loyal group of local supporters. But Witcombe is more than just cricket — our clubhouse hosts regular tea & cake socials, welcoming residents of all ages for a chat, a brew, and a sense of belonging. We believe in cricket for everyone and that no one should be priced out of participating, which is why we keep cost low and never charge match fees.

💬 Why Are We Crowdfunding?

To keep our club running and growing, we need your support. Our clubhouse is showing its age, and our facilities are in urgent need of some TLC. We’re fundraising to help cover:

• A new kitchen, to serve match-day feasts and community teas & coffees.

• New flooring and upgraded changing rooms, for a cleaner, more welcoming space.

• Improvements to the pitch and playing facilities, including:

• New mobile covers to protect the wicket - which doesn’t take 6 men to move like the old ones.

• A new sightscreen for better visibility and safety

• Replacing dangerous old boundary fencing (we’re tired of lost balls disappearing into the abyss!)

• Upgrading and securing the training nets

• Essential drainage works to keep our field fit for play

This isn’t just a wishlist — it’s a practical upgrade to ensure inclusive, affordable access to cricket and community events for years to come.
