Why offer him this way? Having hired campervans for 10 years, we know how many people dream of owning their own. This way, we can help someone else's dream come true, whilst furthering our own.
The Dream & our story.....
Though, 79 North Ltd has been importing wine since 2016. I have only been involved with the company since April of 2022, when I purchased the company from my friend & company founder Rui Ramos.
I was running a self-drive hire camper van company & Rui was helping with maintenance when Matt the mechanic was not available (He's my resto man at Auto Impressions). Rui a Portuguese gentleman who originally came to the UK to seek his fortune is now residing back in his home country with his young family after COVID19. Being locked away from his family & friends, just like many millions of other people around the world, put life into a whole new perspective.
I stood down our fleet of 10 campers, months before COVID19 hit & spent the next 2 years as key worker delivering parcels with DPD, then Rui, offered me the opportunity to buy his company, 79 North Ltd.
So what brings me from campers to carafes? Someone who drank at birthdays & holidays, who chose wine in a way which was like pinning a-tail-on-a-donkey. Why would I want to sell & encourage others to drink alcohol, with very little knowledge of the industry.
So, influenced by Rui & several visits to Portugal, I was able to tap into & immerse myself into the culture, feelings, enthusiasm of the local communities around the vineyards I visited.
A reboot for 79 North Ltd means introducing our wines to restaurants, bars, hotels & independent wine stores though out the UK. With Rui in Portugal helping us unearth some amazing produce. I have the greatest pleasure in presenting to you some of the tastes & experiences that only Portugal can offer.
With your help though the proceeds of this initial competition, you will be become a part of 79 North's timeline, helping our small, family owned vineyards to export their wonderfully crafted wines, directly for you to enjoy, here in the UK.

Please note though Enzo is a beautiful camper with the ability to escort you on adventures far & wide, he does need a little T.L.C. Which is why we refer to him as a project, his MOT runs until April of 2025, though he will need a little work to pass another - though with tickets from £2, with a £500.00 for a paid ticket entrance, our free to win entrance will also make your dream of owning an iconic Volkswagen camper, become a reality!
