Participants must be aged over 18 years of age. Prize is non transferrable to any other destination or date, and no cash alternative is available. We reserve the right to substitute a prize of equal value in the event that circumstances beyond our control make this unavoidable. Travel insurance is not included in the prize but is essential and G Adventures current booking conditions apply to the reservation.

•    Each ticket donation will act as an entry into the prize draw. You can purchase multiple tickets for a greater chance to win the prize as many times as you’d like. Each ticket equals one chance to win but there is only one prize to win. 

•    The prize draw is free to enter, and no purchase is necessary. You can enter this draw for free, without pledging, by sending a stamped and addressed postcard with your name, address, and contact telephone number to: South Georgia Heritage Trust, Verdant Works, West Henderson’s Wynd, Dundee, DD1 5BT. One envelope counts for one entry. 

•    The prize draw will open to the public on 2 September 2024 and close after 30 days on 1 October 2024. Entries received after this time will not be valid.

•    The winner will be randomly selected through a draw before 7 October.

•    The South Georgia Heritage Trust (SGHT) accepts no responsibility for entries not successfully completed due to a technical fault, technical malfunction, computer hardware or software failure, satellite, network, or server failure of any kind. 

•    The winner will receive the following expedition cruise trip for two persons: 21-day voyage "Spirit of Shackleton" Ushuaia to Ushuaia exploring the wonders of Antarctica and South Georgia aboard the G Expedition.  

•    The date of the prize trip is set from 11 January 2025 to 31 January 2025 and cannot be amended. No flights are included in this prize. The winner must make their own travel arrangements to meet the start of the cruise in Ushuaia, Argentina and onwards from Ushuaia at end of the cruise. No refund or other compensation will be provided if for any reason (e.g. travel cancellation or illness) the winner is unable to join the vessel at the specified date and location.

•    PRIZE INCLUDES: A Category-3 cabin for two aboard the G Expedition worth £39,198 for "Spirit of Shackleton", 12-31 January 2025; 1 night in a hotel in Ushuaia on 11 January 2025 before embarkation on 12 January 2025; Arrival and departure transfers; Zodiac excursions with expert expedition team; Lectures and educational programs; Waterproof boots supplied for USA sizes 4-16; Expedition parka jacket; Breakfast, lunch and dinner throughout trip; Airport and Port Taxes.

•    Not Included: Travel insurance; and Flights. 

•    Fulfilment of any elements of the prize will be subject to any UK or local Government restrictions regarding Covid-19 in force at the relevant time. 

•    The prize is as stated in the description. There is no cash alternative, and the elements of the prize cannot be sold or transferred by the winner. If you are unable to attend the dates specified, the transfer of the prize to friends or family can be discussed with the SGHT team but is not guaranteed and must be agreed at least 2 months in advance.

•    For the avoidance of doubt, unless specified above, no other costs or expenses will be covered by SGHT, or by the prize provider G Adventures. 

•    The prize is subject to change. Descriptions of the prize are provided without a warranty of any kind. In no event shall SGHT or the prize provider G Adventures be liable for any claim demand or damages caused to an entrant by reason of a description of the prize being inaccurate, incomplete, or for the prize being otherwise in any way different to the entrant’s expectations. SGHT reserves the right to disqualify any entries that breach these rules, are in any way fraudulent or (in SGHT’s reasonable opinion) will bring themselves, SGHT, or the prize provider into disrepute. SGHT reserves the right to cancel the prize draw at any stage, if deemed necessary in their joint opinion, or if circumstances arise outside their control. 

•    The winner will be contacted via email (using details provided at entry) before the end of 7 October 2024. If a winner does not respond within 7 days of being notified, then the winner's prize will be forfeited, and SGHT will be entitled to select another winner in accordance with the process described above.

•    The decision of SGHT regarding any aspect of the prize draw is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into about it.  

•    SGHT reserves the right to refuse entry or refuse to award the prize to anyone in breach of the Rules or the Terms and Conditions or the spirit of the Rules or the Terms and Conditions. 

•    By submitting your entry to SGHT, you agree to be legally bound by the Rules and these Terms and Conditions.  

•    SGHT Trustees, Staff and their families are not permitted to enter the prize draw.  

•    SGHT reserves the right to hold void, cancel, suspend, or amend the promotion where it becomes necessary to do so.  

•    Insofar as is permitted by law, SGHT, its subsidiaries, agents or distributors will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the winner or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of taking up the prize except where it is caused by the negligence of SGHT, its agents or distributors or that of their employees. Your statutory rights are not affected. 

•    You agree to indemnify SGHT and its subsidiaries against any claim from any third party for any breach of these terms and conditions.  

•    SGHT reserves the right to update the Rules and these Terms and Conditions from time to time and any updated version will be effective as soon as it is published on Crowdfunder. 

•    SGHT takes your data very seriously; we will only use your personal data in accordance with the terms of our Privacy Policy. Personal data supplied during the course of this promotion may be passed on to the third party suppliers, G Adventures only insofar as required for fulfilment/delivery/arrangement of the prize. 

•    This competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed, or administered by, or associated with Crowdfunder. In using Crowdfunder, you acknowledge and agree to be bound by Crowdfunder's Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy.
