We are raising funds to go towards building a new pavilion
by Oliver Greensweig in Gloucester, Gloucestershire, United Kingdom
Whitminster Cricket Club and Cotswold Rangers Football Club are working along side the Whitminster Village Hall and Playing Field Charity Committee to get this project completed.
With initial plans in place and hard work being put it from all parties, all that’s needed now is the funds to allow us to continue.
After our current pavilion was deemed unsafe for use we and are looking to raise some funds to put towards the building of a new structure.
This will ensure that both the cricket and football clubs will be able to stay in the village and continue playing in a space we love.
How we’ll spend the money raised
The money raised will allow us to put up a pavilion that meets both the cricket and football requirements for league matches. It will mean that we will be able to make the pavilion a space that’s welcoming for all to come to and somewhere we’ll be proud to call home.
Community impact
This will provide a space where the whole community will be able to come and socialise during the winter and summer months; as well as soak up some local sports.
There are four simple ways to help us reach our target, and make this project a reality.
1. Make a pledge. Don’t delay if you’re going to support us because momentum is key to our success!
2. Spread the word. Share our project on your social media pages and tell the world to get behind us! The more people we reach, the more support we will get.
3. Offer rewards. Get involved if you are a local business by donating things we can offer to our supporters. We will give you a shout out!
4. Fundraise for us. If you want to run your own fundraiser – maybe a sponsored activity or similar – use the 'contact project' button at the top of our page to let us know. Setting up your own page only takes a few minutes and you won’t need any bank details. Just a fun idea!
