When I Next See You

Aim: A transnational drama short film from an indigenous (Māori) filmmaker, studying in the UK and examining the Cornish housing crisis.

"Late at night, Atarangi, a woman in a country far from home, hears news of her mother's eviction from the house she was raised in. Disassociated and volatile, she lashes out and decides to break into the neglected second house of a wealthy family."

The film uses slow cinema techniques (long takes, sparse visual style, and silences), consisting of night shoots and a concluding daytime exterior nature shoot.
