Who are we?
We are a girls only rugby league club, the only one in our large rugby mad town, and one of the biggest around with teams across multiple age groups, helping girls find their confidence in whats a tough but super inclusive sport.
Girls join us from allsorts of backgrounds, and experience levels. Gain team building skills make friends for life and improve their fitness. Some have played in younger age groups where it is mixed boys and girls teams, then when it comes to under 11’s and up they have to play girls only. Some of the other players that have joined have never touched a rugby ball in their lives, coming from ballet, cheerleading or football but wanted to give it a go, and became hooked!
All funds raised with go direct to things needed for the girls on our team. Training equipment so we can make sure we can train them to the best possible standard. Clothing like bibs, winter coats, subs coats that can be used on match days in the colder months.
Also team building and social activities where the girls work on their communication and collaboration skills.
