WELLOW MENS SHED

Wellow Mens Shed will be a community building in Wellow  which  would offer the opportunity for local people to meet jointly or individually to undertake creative, physical or recreational activities, to learn or pass on their skills and knowledge and to support one another socially though activities at the Shed. Another aim is to offer a Repair Cafe, where local residents can bring in items for repair or repurposing thus saving on disposal costs and the environment.

The shed will contain a workshop, benches and small tools as well as a clean, seating area.

Already Shed people have undertaking a number of small projects in the community, the largest being the refurbishment of the childrens playground equipment.

A grant application has been made to Test Valley Borough Council but more funds are needed to pay for things such as planning permission which the Council grant will not cover.
