The 'Treehouse' Wellbeing Den at Roots

Aim: To raise much needed funds for carpets, yoga equipment and big bean bags for our well being den area upstairs at Roots.

At Roots we are custodians of a lovely old scout hall in Hawkwell, Essex. We have renovated a lot of the hall and just finished the garden project which is allowing people from across the community to access well being activities, community groups, creative health opportunities and educational offerings. 

The next phase of our offering encompasses renovating the upstairs space in to a well being den we have called the 'Treehouse'. Until recently it was only accessible by a climbing wall or a condemned ladder, we have been lucky enough to raise the funds for the new stair case which is currently in situ but we desperately need help with the last bit to put carpet down and purchase equipment for this area from lighting (including installation) to large bean bags and mats. 

As soon as these last items are done we can run groups out of this space which will be massively beneficial to our local community and give certain groups a space to really feel safe and able to open up. 

Roots is a not for profit organisation and is funded solely by fundraising, income from groups and run by volunteers hence requesting this money via crowdfunding or a local business.
