At Displaced, we gamify exploring ethnic identity in a fun, supportive, engaging environment. We do this through workshops and a card game.
Displaced is currently at a stage where we have previously been funded by National Lottery and Unltd for a project where we were able to test our ideas.
We are now formalising as an organisation and are looking to train more facilitators in different communities to do our workshops. We did the pilot with Turkish and Kurdish-speaking communities but we know that many communities can connect with what we do. We have prototyped our card game and want to now produce it professionally and make it available to the public.
We also explore the challenges our participants have with accessing services in mental health, housing and the Home Office. Through this we are able to understand what makes these services unsuitable for our communities.
