My Story – I am from the UK

From Pain to Purpose: A Voice for the Forgotten

In the last week. I was struggling deeply—emotionally and spiritually—carrying a quiet pain no one could see. I turned to Allah, not knowing what to ask for, only that I needed healing.

Then, without asking, without expecting anything in return, Allah sent me a gift that changed everything.

I came across videos of orphaned and disabled children in Africa—children with nothing but hearts full of patience and gratitude. Their clothes were torn, food was scarce, yet they stood in line peacefully, waiting their turn. No complaints, no rushing. Just quiet dignity. Watching them brought tears to my eyes.

And then, something happened that shook me to my core.

These children, without knowing my story, without knowing me at all, gave me a gift—a gift in memory of my late father. A gesture so pure, so unexpected, it meant more to me than anything in the world. I never asked for it. I never imagined it. But Allah knew. And through these children, He touched a part of my heart I thought was lost forever.

In that moment, I knew: I don’t have children of my own, but these are now my children. Allah gave me a family I never expected, and through that, a purpose I had always prayed for.

Sheikh Sulaiman Elyasi, a devoted and humble brother, is the one caring for these children—orphans, disabled, and forgotten by society. He feeds them when he can. Clothes them when possible. Tries to give them access to education, though resources are scarce. Even so, their manners, their humility, their grace—it’s beyond anything I’ve seen.

We live in a world where we waste food, rush to fill our plates, complain when we’re slightly hungry. But these children, with almost nothing, carry the beauty of paradise in their souls. They taught me more than I could ever teach them.

I asked Sheikh Sulaiman Elyasi, if I could be their ambassador—their voice. For years, I had dreamed of helping those in famine, of travelling to forgotten places to serve—but the time never came. Now I know why. This was always the path Allah had written for me.

Today, I am doing what I can. I want to raise funds to give these children food, clothing, and education. I want to connect with charities. And Insha’Allah, one day, if Allah opens those doors for me. I hope to register a charity in the UK to support them full-time or even be blessed with a personal visit.

The Sheikh informed me of others who are suffering through disabilities or being widowed or working without being able to provide for their families.

Please help me. Even the smallest donation can help change a life. Be part of this journey. Be part of their hope.

The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) strongly emphasised the care of orphans. He once said: "I and the person who looks after an orphan and provides for him will be in Paradise like this," raising his index and middle fingers close together to show their closeness (Sahih al-Bukhari). This profound teaching reveals the high rank given to those who shelter and support orphans, linking their compassion to nearness to the Prophet himself in the hereafter.

In another hadith, the Prophet urged generosity, saying: "Charity does not decrease wealth, no one forgives another except that Allah increases his honour, and no one humbles himself for the sake of Allah except that Allah raises his status" (Sahih Muslim). Islam teaches that giving to the poor, the orphan, and the needy purifies one's wealth and soul, drawing a person closer to God.

The money will be used for disability equipment like wheelchairs or crutches.

Anything to make their lives in a little better I know they are grateful for anything we could send. Please share to others please help them to be heard

I leave in the hands of ALLAH and I thank you all in advance. Anyone can donate and believe me even a small amount is huge in the eyes of us and Allah.  Everyone who does you will be mentioned regularly in our prayers. For those donating in silence i cant thank you enough but my thanks will be nothing compared to Allah. You do not need to be Muslim to donate and the same you will be mentioned in the prayer and hearts of those you touch. I am honoured of this opportunity.
