Aim: The Sanctuary needs your help. We've just received one of our biggest vets bills ever, and it's left the Sanctuary struggling.
Sanctuary life is incredibly tough. It is not something anyone does for fun. We regularly face harsh realities, traumatised animals, and the pain of death. But to change the world for just one animal, makes it all worthwhile.
Since we began, we have saved over 7,500 lives. These lives were destined for the slaughterhouse, unwanted, abused and neglected. We currently have close to 100 animals under our care, from the big horses and pigs, to the little ferrets and hens. We have promised them sanctuary, safety and respect.
We rely completely on the donations of our incredible supporters, and the occasional bit of grant funding. We genuinely could not do what we do without you.
Right now, we need your help.
Due to recent rescues, and the medical care that they required to help them, we are facing a massive vets bill of £1,470.31. On top of last month's feed bill at £834.94, we are stuck. We have just £50 in the Sanctuary bank account, and we are desperate.
We know that we will always have these regular costs of feed and veterinary care, to keep all of the animals we help fed and as safe as possible. Donations from the wonderful people who visit us, or those who Sponsor an Animal, massively help to keep us afloat, and help us to save these lives.
We have zero paid staff, and every single penny raised from every source, goes straight towards these bills. But sometimes, the bills pile up, and we are in serious trouble.
Our bank account is empty, and we desperately need to meet these costs.
With your help, we can continue to save the lives of the animals who need us - those who have nowhere safe to turn to.
Like Ambrose the goat, who would have been killed at 2 weeks old as he was useless to the dairy industry. Bella, who would have lived a life of repeated, forced pregnancy, and eventually sent to slaughter when her body gave in. Brooke the pig, who was going to be killed in her mother, Chloe's, belly, before she even had the chance to be born.
You have helped to save over 7,500 individual lives. Thank you for everything. Please help us to continue.
They need us. Help us to offer a place of safety.
Thank you
