Quote from Chairman of Warrington Cricket Club, Gary Musker
“I am very proud to be Chairman of Warrington Cricket Club.
The club are very fortunate to play out of Walton Lea which, in my opinion, is one of the most beautiful cricket grounds in Cheshire, if not the country.
As a club, we strive to ensure that everyone can get involved and enjoy their cricket – no matter their ability and the club and its members work very hard to keep improving the club’s playing and training facilities, however, I know the club would welcome any support you could kindly provide”
Who are we?
Warrington Cricket Club was founded in 1851 and is a founding member of the Cheshire County League.
The club has a vibrant senior and junior section and is proud to boast four senior teams and a thriving junior and colts section.
The club is well known for:
- its vibrant, welcoming and inclusive social culture – ensuring our players enjoy their cricket on and off the pitch – the club is proud of its growing and thriving social scene;
- offering cricketing opportunities to a diverse group of players, to enjoy and participate in cricket at all levels, from All Stars to first team (and everywhere in between);
- working with the local community to develop cricketers of all abilities. The club is proud of all its players and their achievements; and
- its ability to bring the best out of players - indeed, a number of the club’s former members have gone on to play first class and international cricket. A few of these include John Crawley (England, Lancashire and Hampshire), Mark Crawley (Lancashire and Nottinghamshire) and more recently, Rob Jones (Lancashire and Worcestershire).
Why are we crowdfunding?
- The club’s members are busy in preparations for the upcoming 2025 cricket season, however, being a voluntary community club, additional funding has never been more vital to ensure the club is best placed for a successful 2025 season.
- Warrington Cricket Club therefore requests your help and invites any donations you are able to make. With your help, Warrington cricket club is confident it will achieve its goals for the upcoming season.
