Offer more hours of counselling
The pandemic has affected many of our core relationships. For some couples, the increase in mental health problems linked to the pandemic is playing a role in break-ups, family conflict, and domestic abuse, we have seen a 250% increase in cases of the latter. Couples who were unable to leave home or access support services put extreme pressure on them.
Lev Shomeia (Registered Charity 1140551) Walk and Talk is here to help!
Part 1] Walk+Talk: Therapists.
We will offer free and accessible 200 hours of outdoor therapy to families on benefits and low incomes who are experiencing a range of difficulties as a result of the Covid crisis.
Outdoor therapy is fast becoming an important offering to the therapy and counseling world. We would like to bring this to Salford 7, and roll out an ambitious but well-researched plan to offer a hybrid of outdoor therapy and traditional in-door therapy.
Clients would have all the elements of traditional therapy, coupled with the well-documented benefits of Nature therapy. The outdoor element would conveniently take place in the quieter sections of Parks in Salford 7.
Part 2] Creating a Support network led by a therapist to help support the users in small groups.
