Roko 20 Academy was established to provide free primary school education to children in Kenya. While education is technically free, there are "fees" to be paid which often make it inaccessible for many families. Children are frequently sent home for unpaid fees, missing vital months of schooling.
Most families struggle to survive on small-scale farming incomes, with many barely able to afford a meal a day. Elderly grandmothers often step in to care for their grandchildren with little support.
Roko 20 Academy currently sponsors around 100 children from the local community. The funding received through sponsorships helps us continue our work, but it isn’t always enough to cover all our needs. Fundraisers like this are essential in helping us bridge the gap and ensure we can provide education and support for more children.
