Raising awareness and some welcome additional funding for Key Changes Music Therapy and Blue Apple Theatre. A chance to connect with each other and with the lovely environment and wildlife along the route.
Key Changes Music Therapy provides a professional music therapy service across the community, both within Hampshire and beyond. We work directly with referred clients, of all ages, towards the alleviation of the emotional effects of mental illness, learning disability, social deprivation and developmental delay. We improve awareness of music therapy amongst carers, parents, teachers and other professionals with the aim of enabling those in need of music therapy to benefit from it. We raise funds to enable the provision of music therapy to assist those unable to afford the fees. We ensure clinical practice, assessment and evaluation procedures and any research are evidence-based.
The two Chairs are tackling the banks of the river Itchen from Eastleigh to Winchester on Friday 8th April.
Jim and Ed will be walking from the Point in Eastleigh to the Theatre Royal in Winchester to symbolise the connections to the Arts by both charities. They will be walking from the industrial railway town of Eastleigh, to Winchester the Cathedral City, via the Hampshire countryside, to symbolise the reach of both charities across the County.
Jim would be very grateful if you could donate to this page, using Gift Aid if possible, to support the work of Key Changes Music Therapy. There is loads more to see about our crucial work at "www.keychanges.org" and we're regularly sharing our news via Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn - we'd love to welcome you to follow us there.
We are not in competition; this page is Jim's page fundraising for Key Changes Music Therapy. If you wish to sponsor Ed and support Blue Apple this is the link:

A close friend of Jim's is Ed Rochead, Jim and Ed have known each other as friends and colleagues since 2001, and are both passionate about using their strategic leadership skills to enable their respective charities to operate and support those who benefit from them. They did a practice walk recently and learned that Ed needed a new pair of boots - about 100 yards in!
Nevertheless we were both still smiling after 5 miles of heavy rain!
Sparkle the dog needed a towel though!
