To raise money for the Rotherham Hospice, Barnsley Hospice as well as our own Development Fund

by Robert Barlow in Rotherham, England, United Kingdom

Walking for Wath on our Test Match Trundle!

We are challenging our Junior Members, Senior Members and Friends to become more active during March and in turn raise money for two local charities - as well as our own Development Fund.

Following on from our successful February On Foot campaign a few years ago, we will be encouraging everyone to walk as often as possible during the month of March!

We have set you a target of 2671 kilometers - which is a virtual journey across the country, leaving Wath and visiting 8 Test Match Grounds before returning to HQ! Our route takes us from Wath to Durham, Lords, Headingley, The Oval, Old Trafford, Utilita Bowl, Edgebaston, Sofia Gardens and back to Wath.

To take part, simply download the Strava App on your phone and search for the Wath Cricket Club Group. You can then record every walk or run you complete during March. We can then add together everyone's contribution each day and add them to the total!

We will be raising money to support the Rotherham Hospice, Barnsley Hospice and our Development Fund. To donate, simply follow the steps below and pledge as little or as much as you like.

BUT WHAT'S MORE!

On March 29th all our members and friends are invited to the club for a day of walking and socialising - as well as our Membership Renewal Day! We'll have the bar open all day as well as Live Music from the excellent Lee Bailey.

So we thank you for your support, and good luck to everyone taking part!
