To provide shelter for a homeless family with four young children

by Najmin Akhtar in Basildon, England, United Kingdom

A couple with four young children all under the age of 10 years old find themselves homeless in a village in a rural area of Sylhet Bangladesh after losing their home during unfortunate circumstances. They had built a small home with bamboo/sticks and rags, with no proper doors/windows, no proper cooking facilities or sanitation, recently they go attacked by wild foxes and monkeys which forced them to flee from their home.  They have become destitute and in desperate need to build a little home. The husband has underlying long term health conditions and is unable to work, the wife barely manages by working in the village doing odd jobs, due to the recent incident shelter has become essential for their safety and well being.

The family is a close relative of my mothers caretaker and I will personally manage the project to ensure the home is built.

Please help me raise funds to build a house for them and reap the everlasting reward of Sadaqa-e-Jaria. It is the most rewarding acts we can do in our lives as the benefits of giving this type of charity can be reaped not only in this lifetime but long after we have passed.

On the Authority of Abu Hurairah (RA) that the Messenger of Allah (saw) said, ‘When a person dies, his deeds come to an end except for three: Sadaqa Jaria (a continuous charity), or knowledge from which benefit is gained, or a righteous child who prays for him’. (Muslim).

Jazak Allahu Khairan
