FARE Community Allotment (Easterhouse)

Exact tasks will depend on number of volunteers and weather on the day, but will include some or all of the following:

• Painting raised beds
• Digging and planting beds with plants to attract pollinators
• Litter picking/removing debris
• Clearing ground

An ideal volunteer for FARE Scotland - Community Allotment (Easterhouse) would be someone who:

Community-Oriented: Eager to engage with local people and help enhance the restore the community space for community use.
Reliable and Committed: Willing to commit time regularly to maintain the reserve and its paths.
Team Player: Able to work well with others, including other volunteers and park management.
Environmentally Conscious: Aware of the importance of conservation and sustainable practices.

These qualities help ensure that the allotment is restored and remains an accessible, enjoyable space for all.

By contributing to the allotment’s upkeep and activities, volunteers help provide essential green spaces for learning, play, and social connection, especially in disadvantaged areas.
