The young lady in the photos is called Nikki. She lives in Eastleigh, Nairobi. Her dream is to become a nurse. Her mum, Mary, is a former nursery teacher. She had to close down her nursery during Covid and has started a cake business to support herself and her family. Mary is divorced and is also looking after Nikki's young cousin. She is struggling to make ends meet. She managed to pay for one semester at the nursing college. There are still 3 more semesters to go. One semester costs roughly £600.
