A small amount of money will provide basic essentials to allow children to have access to books and the essentials they need to go to school. Extra fundraising will go towards school fees, food, clean water and the start of the building of a new orphanage.

Throughout Africa, thousands of community-based organisations are trying to address the growing needs of orphans and families made vulnerable by HIV/AIDS.

The organisations are strengthening the traditional safety net of extended families through a range of vital programmes and services operating with minimal funding and a great deal of volunteer support.

Many children in Africa affected by HIV/AIDS are growing up in misery, leading abnormal lives and facing psychological torture.

The Vision for Zion Foundation looks to address this by providing a safe place to live, food, water, clothing, love and access to schools.

The Vision for Zion Foundation has ambitious plans to build a new orphanage to support those needing a home, food and care.

The plans include a block to house females — one for the males — a kitchen, storage and serving area and an open-air dining area where all the orphans and staff can come together to eat, drink and spend time together.
