The Vintage Co-Operative has been running as a mutual support network for independent vintage traders for over a year. Since the onset of covid 19 most of us have been unable to earn a living in the usual way (normally we would be trading at fairs and festivals around the UK). We have been working together to replace our lost earnings through online vintage fairs and we now want to further this by building a website to showcase our individual members and their products. Obviously there are already options available for selling online but increasing commission rates and punitive seller policies are making it difficult to ask a fair price and make a worthwhile profit. We want to cut out the middle men and take control for ourselves, if you're happy to help by contributing a few quid we would be very grateful.
I actually set up this crowdfunder for the traders to contribute. We're not expecting any donations from the public but of course we aren't going to turn any down. We would be just as happy if you supported any of our lovely individual dealers directly by making a purchase. You can find out more about our members and our monthly Instagram Virtual Vintage Fair on our @the_vintage_cooperative account
We know times are tough for the majority so thank you for reading this, don't feel obliged but wherever you can please support small businesses (not just ours)
