Let’s have a Virtual Pint in the Virtual Old Dispensary
With the local area still in tier 3 and thinking it could get worse…. Let’s all try to help Emma and Simon have a good Christmas and take some of the worry and hassle out of trying to keep The Old Dispensary going in such awful times.
We all enjoy one or two (or more) wonderful ales at The Old Dispensary and have been deprived of the excellent service that Emma & Simon provide for a while and I for one would like to hope that at the end of this enforced lockdown they will be able to open up again and still provide the excellent service that we all enjoy.
So, in these strange times when they can’t open their doors the cost of keeping the place going with no sales must be a nightmare. I can think of Rent, Rates, Insurance, Electric, Gas, etc…. to name a few expenses that they are having to find out of their own pockets from their day jobs, with nothing coming in from the business.
If the bar was open, I know that I would be there over the next few weeks enjoying their hospitality and good service, so what I’m proposing is that we as a community come together and help out.
Lets go to the “Virtual Bar” and have a “Virtual Pint” and keep them afloat, I have organised this crowdfunding page for their business, lets donate the price of a beer or two (or six or ten or…..) and a packet of crisps, then we can hope the Old Dispensary will still be there when we are all allowed in again.
All the proceeds from this will go to Emma & Simon for them to use as they wish to keep the Old Dispensary alive through the coming months, if there is any money left at the end, they can choose what happens to it, either re-invest it or give it away to charity the choice will be theirs.
Donate what you can, whether it be the price of a cob or a hangover in the morning.
