There are many people sleeping in a delipidated places with serious health conditions. Most of these people have no one to help and as a result their conditions gets worse and worse to the point where there is no returns.
As a matter of fact during my visit to one of the villages, I saw most children bear footed with limited access to tables and chairs in class rooms. Some stood by windows to listen to their teachers. Parents not having proper roof over their mud house. Their children struggling to learn at home when it rain due to the lack of proper roofing.
As a charity, we would like to help in a small way to provide sustainable DIY infrastructure to aid these families and their children in a way that will help protect the environment and our carbon foot print.
The project will identify a struggling family, single parent and disabled person with life changing stories and aim to bring them hope and dignity by transforming their habitation. Those who have not been able to complete their home due to ill-health , bereavement or a sudden change in their circumstances will be given a second chance by helping them complete the work they started but couldn't finish.
This project will provide a pathway for young local men and women with skills to provide a rewarding service to members within their local community and in return they will be supported to build resilience, capacity and a sustainable future.
This project is about bringing local skilled trades, manufacturers and community together and working alongside them to make a difference within their communities.
Our aim is to help prevent unnecessary pain to families and their children in critical situations due to health related issues.
