Our aim is to repair the roof, get rid of all the dry rot and make 270th Intake Scout hall a great Community asset for Intake.

Please help us raise much needed funds for urgent repairs to maintain our Scout Headquarters.   Being an old Sandstone built Methodist Church we are facing rising costs just to keep on top of the maintenance of the building.  We now find ourselves needing funds towards the costs of urgent major roof repairs to keep out the water and damp which has unfortunately caused a substantial case of Dry Rot and sadly our building is currently unusable until this is rectified.

With COVID-19 causing us to stop all Scouting and fundraising activities from March 2020 this means we have lost our weekly income from Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Explorers along with our regular weekly room hire rents and we missed our annual Plant Sale which is our biggest fund raiser.  We have managed to secure some funding but not enough to compensate the loss of our weekly income or cover the full repair costs required.

April 2021 sees the Group celebrate 70 years of Scouting in Intake and it would be great to hold a celebratory event and see the building back to being a fantastic Community facility for Intake.

Crowdfunder is making it 100% free for community and charity crowdfunding projects during the coronavirus crisis.
