Hello to all the kind hearted people out there.
I'm from St Vincent and the grenadines, and I'm the sole bread winner for my family. I'm the oldest son in a family of 6, and as my mom lost her husband I had to drop out of high school with one year remaining as my mom was struggling financially and I had to find a job at an early age to support my siblings and my mom. I felt it was my responsibility to step up as the man of the house as my siblings all looked up to me. I've searched for job opportunities regularly as I wanted to clear my mom's mortgage, bills and other debts. I was advised to give the military a try and was successful in my application and training. I'm in the service 3 years, and couple of months ago I've finished clearing my mom's mortgage, as it was my number one priority.
I'll often seek advice from the elderly as I've respected and looked up to them as a youth growing up, and it'll inspire me to mature quickly as they'll say to me, now you're the man of the house you'll need to be a father figure to your brothers and sisters.
My uncle who will always guide me, share his knowledge and helped me when it's needed the most, suffered from a heart condition. He is due to have operation, in which his heart will be replaced by a pacemaker. Our family are not financially stable, so I'm trying to raise as much as I can to contribute to his surgery as his life depends on it.
The cost of the surgery is us$27000, so I'm trying to raise at least half if not all.
Thanks to all that will contribute and donate to what I'm hoping and praying will be a successful operation.
