Elect Ash Farrand as our second Green councillor, doubling our number of elected Greens and giving support to Frank in North East Derbyshire

North East Derbyshire is Labour controlled and their majority is so large that, even if all the opposition parties joined forces, they cannot be defeated in acouncil vote. We do not think that this is fair and will elect a second Green councillor to add some much needed scrutiny.
Frank Adlington-Stringer has been battling on behalf of the Green Party for the last year as the only elected Green on the Council, but to make real change he needs some support. This is why electing Ash Farrand is crucial.
Clay Cross North has always been a Labour safe seat and it is where they have 3 Labour councillors. A by-election has been triggered in Clay Cross which means that there is an opportunity to elect a new councillor here.
With Labour's overwhelming majority, there is no risk of the Conservatives sneaking into power and taking control of the council. In fact, the only two things that are guaranteed after this election are that Labour will still be in power in North East Derbyshire AND they will still have at least 2 councillors in Clay Cross.
This means we are free to send Labour a strong message that we deserve better.
We have been out on the streets speaking to voters, 75% of those that supported Labour last time are now strongly considering voting Green. Fed up with the cost of living crisis, lack of ambition, and abandoning of basic principles has left many feeling unable to support the party.
The Greens have consistently offered real hope and real change whilst Keir Starmer's party have drifted to the right. Greens are not afraid to call for a wealth tax on the millionaires and billionaires. Greens are not afraid to demand support for children in poverty or vulnerable pensioners. We are not afraid to call for peace.
If we are going to win here, in a Labour stronghold, then we need your support. There is discontent amongst voters but we need to work hard to spread our message of hope.
