Unknown Horizons: Slava Ukraini

Aim: Help us raise £600 for festival submission fees to get our shared message heard.
PROJECT OVERVIEW:
War is a corrupt and inhumane travesty that shrouds even greater crimes behind an indistinguishable blanket of greed. Unknown Horizons: Slava Ukraini is a film of hope and resistance in the face of war, shocking brutality and widespread corruption. It is a grassroots documentary about a grassroots aid effort to help bring relief to the people of Ukraine, and how a group of determined individuals working together can make a big difference in the world by becoming a powerful, positive force for change.
FILM DESCRIPTION:
Follow the eye opening and world changing journey of Spyke O'Hanlin, a first time, extra-(dis)abled traveler from the UK who ultimately finds himself on a humanitarian mission delivering aid into war-torn Ukraine in April, 2022. Teaming up with American English teacher and resident of Slovakia, Aubrey Mathis, together they journey into Ukraine to deliver their Skoda full of food to Andy and Denys, two members of a larger, independent relief effort operating solely in Ukraine. During their mission they uncover and investigate harrowing truths about corrupt foreign aid organisations, discover dark secrets about political parties and corrupt officials and experience the realities of war and Russian aggression.
THE ASK:
We need to raise as much money as we can but initially we’re looking for £600 to help towards film festival submission fees:
We are a non-profit production - all the money raised will go into the festival submissions and tour. We just need this money so we can share this vital story with the world.
Film festivals cost money to enter - ranging from £7.00 - £200.00
Film festivals also charge per award, so in order to be considered for multiple awards, we’d have to pay for entry into each category.
We’d like to enter our film into BAFTA and BIFA (British Independent Film Awards) qualifying festivals, so we can share this on a national stage in the UK too.
So far we have raised almost £5000 for the production and submission of this film and with your help, we can keep that momentum going! We have already submitted to 35 festivals all over the world, but the more prestigious the festival, the more it costs to submit and what we’re looking for are BAFTA and BIFA qualifiers so then we can really get our shared message out there and that is what’s important.

£20:
Pledges of £20 and over will get a Special Mention in the credits of the public release of Unknown Horizons: Slava Ukraini and will be documented as an official backer of the project.
£30:
Pledges over £30 will get Exclusive Access to the Blooper Reels.
£50:
Pledges of £50 and over will get First Access to both the Public Release of Unknown Horizons: Slava Ukraini and the webseries, Timezones and Temperatures before its official release.
£100:
Pledges of £100 or over will get a special bundle of signed merchandise from the making of the film.
