We have a fabulous opportunity to have our own unique permanent judo club venue but we need your help to make this a wonderful reality.

On the 15th June 2022 we'd raised £6,475 with 42 supporters in 28 days. But as every pound matters, we're continuing to collect donations from supporters.
If we got amazing funding support we would be able to financially support those that were unable to afford essential licences, kits and training camps, club visits and international events.
I am Dave Quinn, a lifetime long judo practitioner. My father encouraged me to take up judo as I was easily bullied and not very confident at a young 7 year old. As time went on and I progressed through the progressive grading system, I became a club, county, area, British Masters and World Masters Judo champion. I am now the Head Coach of a wonderful judo club.
We are "United Judo". A friendly competition club with a great social side. As a club we have been running for over 10 years in various sports centres and church halls. We have had to rely on others for available dates and to be convenient for them. We currently have over 175 members from the age of 6 years to 77 years. We have always encouraged everyone to keep fit and take an active part. Many of our players have been or are National level. We have 10 dedicated coaches with a wealth of experience from some being in the National teams, some winning International events right up to the level of 3 World Masters Champions and Commonwealth Champions to name but a few. We encourage youngsters to pursue coaching and refereeing to be a credit to the club. All of our volunteers give their time, inspiration and devotion for free. Without them we could not function.
We try to involve the local community to the maximum. Our new premises will allow us to further develop our classes for all sections of the Community whatever their needs may be. We are also keen to get our spectators and off mat supporters involved as everyone can benefit long term from staying healthy. With your funding help we can create a base, a true hub, where young and old can prosper. Whether its a single person that uses the club to meet others and socialise or families that want to congregate together to better the community or just have fun.
We want to lay down a Sprung Floor for Better Throwing Practice and a safer falling experience. It is very important to us that young and old, meek and bold, enjoy every second without unnecessary pain or after shock. We are very excited that the local round table has supplied us with brand new Olympic quality judo mats that we can't wait to lay down.
We are also really excited to mention that having a permanent matted venue means we no longer have to sweat and rely on the good will of others continuously to lay the mats down and pick them up after every practise.
With the facility that has come to light we would need many items and fixtures to make it a true home of sport and motivate all those that enter our dojo (hall).
We will need a security system, sound equipment, storage and racking, paint and brushes etc., electrical wiring, signage and graphics, computer equipment, reception area/desk, fans, fresh new kits, monitors and seating, advertising and promotion, video/phone plus much more. Your donations can make this dream a reality.
There are four simple ways to help us reach our target, and make this project a reality.
1. Make a pledge. Don’t delay if you’re going to support us because momentum is key to our success!
2. Spread the word. Share our project on your social media pages and tell the world to get behind us! The more people we reach, the more support we will get.
3. Offer rewards. Get involved if you are a local business by donating things we can offer to our supporters. We will give you a shout out!
4. Create a fundraiser of your own. Use the button on our page to get started. Setting up your own page only takes a few minutes and you won’t need any bank details. Just a fun idea!
We want to thank you all big and small for checking out our Crowdfunding page and would like to thank you in advance for any contribution that you can afford to donate. Good Luck In Life.
