Our activities include the provision of weekly African food parcels at Leicester Street Community Centre in Northampton. We operate an admin office at Barratt House, Kingsthorpe Road, Northampton, NN2 6EZ providing one to one support, outreach services in partnership with CAB. Our charity supports members of the African community with a particular focus on those with no recourse to public funds who are facing financial and other hardships. Our beneficiaries include the working poor, asylum seekers, refugees, those with pending immigration statuses and unemployed healthcare workers not in receipt of any benefits. We provide culturally appropriate food parcels, non food essentials and welfare services, supporting with a variety of issues including housing and homelessness, immigration, mental health, physical health, isolation, unemployment, training - working with statutory and other agencies to provide assistance to those in need.
We also have some wellbeing activities including ladies swimming, football, community allotment and wellbeing sessions and events.
Our cultural activities include African drumming and cultural event celebrations including Africa Day and Black History Month.
