UK/MEXICAN ARTS SOCIETY FUNDRAISING

The UK-Mexican Arts Society will be a charitable organization dedicated to promoting cultural and artistic exchange between Mexico and the United Kingdom. The society will launch in September 2020 and will replace Chalton Gallery, which has been promoting British and Mexican contemporary art in London and Mexico City for more than 5 years. 

The Society will create more ambitious opportunities for British and Mexican people working in the art and culture sector by providing new residencies opportunities; platforms for collaborations and exchange of knowledge; 

We are raising money for the following causes:

• To fund the delivery of a rich programme of British arts and culture in Mexico in collaboration with local institutions (to cover artists’ fees and travelling expenses, transportation of the artworks’, etc.);
• Likewise, to fund the delivery of an exceptional programme of Mexican arts and culture in the UK (to cover artists’ fees and travelling expenses, transportation of the artworks’, etc.);
• To support artists’ cultural residencies in the State of Hidalgo, Mexico (to invest in building studio spaces, artists’ accommodation, etc.);
• To acquire contemporary works of art to donate them to British and Mexican public institutions.
