UKC stand up Society x Your Place

Aim: A stand up comedy gig in collaboration with the charity Your Place
Who we are:
The UKC stand up society are one of the most prolific societies at the university of Kent, and we regularly put on comedy nights for students and civilians in and around Canterbury. Every night we do the money we raise goes to a charity and this week we’ve chosen the Your Place project, a charity based in London dedicated to ending homelessness. The event will be raising money for the big give- a fundraising effort where any money raised is doubled
The event:
The event will take place at the university of Kent- specifically Woody’s Nest in parkwood. The night will be divided into two halves- and will be MC’d by comedian Adam Dorr. Both halves feature some of the best comedians the society has and additionally each half will have a prolific guest act to look forward to!
Additionally there will be a game at the beginning of the second half- enter £1 for the chance to win a fabulous prize

“Our mission is to end homelessness in east London. Newham, where we work, is the London Borough with the highest levels of homelessness in the country (1 in 21 people are homeless). We look after 115 residents at any one time, housing them and supporting them with an specialised Education, Training and Employment team and a dedicated move-on team to find sustainable long-term housing to end homelessness for each individual.
