We are on the ground in Gaza, responding to the urgent humanitarian health crisis. Donate now to help save lives
Project by UK-MED
On the 10th April 2024 we'd raised £10 with 1 supporters in 63 days. But as every pound matters, we're continuing to collect donations from supporters.
Over 33,000 people have been killed and more than 1.5 million have been displaced in Gaza since 7 October. The few remaining hospitals in Gaza can only offer limited maternity, trauma and emergency care.
The humanitarian need is catastrophic.
We have built a field hospital in Gaza, staffed by international and NHS medics from our roster, to provide lifesaving healthcare for the ill and injured. Our surgical teams are also working alongside local health staff at Al Aqsa Hospital - one of the last remaining hospitals still in operation. Additionally, our mobile health clinics have been providing vital health services for those unable to reach other medical facilities.
Donate now to save lives – your support will save lives in the most desperate of times.
At the beginning of January, we responded to a request from the World Health Organization (WHO) and sent a highly specialist surgical team to Gaza.
From there, we have expanded our humanitarian response to meet the overwhelming health needs. Our medical teams are working tirelessly to provide life and limb-saving health care.
"We are treating large numbers of women, men and children with blast injuries resulting in amputations and other life-changing consequences. Hospitals are hugely overcrowded and many surgical patients at increased risk of infection due to living in tents." UK-Med and NHS Surgeon, Dr. Shehan Hettiaratchy.
"We've worked at Al Aqsa Hospital six days a week, undertaking around 20 procedures every day. It was the huge number of wounded children and women that left a real impact on me, right down to babies just a day or two old and weighing just a couple of kilograms." UK-Med and NHS Anaesthetist, Dr. Matt Newport.
We have launched a Gaza Health Crisis Appeal to support our work while we continue to send experienced humanitarian medics to Gaza. Your donation could help us purchase vital medical supplies.
Help us get medical aid where it is needed most.

We are a frontline medical aid NGO. Born of the NHS, we get life-saving health care to those who need it in times of crisis, conflict, and disaster.
In 1988, a team of eight NHS clinicians established the first iteration of what would become UK-Med.
Three decades on, our roster now comprises nearly 1,000 NHS and international nurses, doctors, and humanitarian aid professionals, all committed to providing an on-call rota for emergency global health relief.
With crises becoming more frequent and severe, we also train local health staff, so that communities around the world are better prepared for future emergencies.
