The UK DNS Privacy Project is dedicated to protecting online privacy by providing a free, secure, and privacy-respecting DNS service.

by Paul Trippett in Frome, Somerset, United Kingdom

In today’s world, online privacy is under constant threat. As someone passionate about internet security, I saw a growing need for a DNS service that prioritises UK internet users privacy and rejects invasive data practices. That’s why I launched the UK DNS Privacy Project to fill the gap and provide an accessible, free, and reliable DNS solution for everyone.

It all started with a simple question: “Why should these large internet companies  know every website I visit?” This thought led to building a service that prioritises encryption and transparency for UK internet users.

Our vision is to make secure, private DNS the standard for everyone. We want to expand our server infrastructure, improve reliability, and raise awareness about the importance of DNS privacy.

How we’ll use the money:

  • We plan to obtain memberships with RIPE and LINX to significantly enhance the performance and reach of our DNS privacy service. These memberships will allow us to access critical internet infrastructure, improve network reliability, and expand our coverage to better serve users across the UK.
  • Enhance support for advanced DNS features and make the service easier to use across devices.
  • Spread awareness through educational content and guides to help people understand and understand the importance of, and adopt, DNS privacy.

With your help, we can create a safer, more private internet for all. Thank you for believing in our vision!
