University of Bristol 1st XI 2025 Season

Who are we?

The University of Bristol Cricket Club is a student run cricket club affiliated with the University of Bristol's Student Union. We run five men's teams and two women's teams and have over 100 members.  

Why are we crowdfunding?

Due to our Men's first team's success in last year's indoor and outdoor cricket season, we have been invited to an exclusive 20 over tournament where we will play teams from across Europe. Unfortunately, due to the high costs, the club and players are unable to fund this tour themselves. 

As well as this we are looking to raise funds to go towards our outdoor season. 

How will we spend the money raised?

All of the money raised will go directly to the club for the 2025 season. This includes costs of the tour, entry playing fees, accommodation, flights and meals. Other costs for the season include transport for matches, equipment, training balls, nutritional supplements and any other costs incurred in our semi-professional environment.

Along with our Fundraiser we are looking for business partners to help fund and promote this exciting opportunity. We are offering exclusive sponsorship deals at very reasonable prices to any businesses that are looking to support our cause. We can offer a range of opportunities a range of different price points, including but not limited to, social media partnerships, player sponsorships and having your logo on our playing kit!

Community impact

We are hoping that successful fundraising will allow us to attend this prestigious tournament, this will them form a crucial part of out pre-season training which help our push for promotion back to the BUCS National Premier League. As a club, we strive for the highest possible playing standard which has a knock on effect for entire club. Higher playing standards allow us to generate more revenue, attract more players and grow as a club. This in turn allows us to invest more into our cricket program as a whole. 

This will also be incredibly beneficial for the personal, mental and sporting progression of those attending.  

How you can play your part?

There are three simple ways to help us reach our target, and make this project a reality.

1. Make a donation. Don’t delay if you’re going to support us because momentum is key to our success!

2. Spread the word. Share our project on your social media pages and tell the world to get behind us! The more people we reach, the more support we will get.

3. Offer rewards. Get involved if you are a local business by donating things we can offer to our supporters. We will give you a shout out!
