To raise 10% match funding to apply to the arts council England to run free drama workshops for children and young people.

Hi, I'm Amie. I graduated many moons ago (1999) in Community Arts and had drive and passion to bring drama/acting to groups of people where accessing these opportunities was not always made easy, due to finance/ family dynamics and mainly the confidence to believe YOU CAN.
I ran my own community arts business after graduating but with young children found myself working throughout my 20s and 30s in many other fulfilling roles Inc support for care leavers/housing support and working with ex- offenders - supporting back into education/ training and employment.
My daughter Ellie had her mum's passion for performing and went onto university to study Musical Theatre.Shortly after graduation and out of nowhere Ellie took her own life.
Understandably I was very poorly in many ways for around two years and obviously will always suffer this horrendous trauma.
However I'm back with that drive and passion to make change in the world of performance.
I've created my first project as a rejuvenating actor/ community artist.
Having done a couple of supporting roles and some theatre i've remembered where my love lies, and that is making the arts accessible.
THE PLAN
I'm applying to the Arts Council for £30,000 to run a project in my local area-Runcorn.
Runcorn is an area of social deprivation and some children here may not have the means to access the support they need to fulfill thier hopes and dreams.
Drama school/drama classes can be expensive and if you want to get into tv and film it costs.Headshots/showreels/agents.
Please help me breakdown these barriers
Starting in September I'll be running free classes that will include acting skills(Spontaneous improvisation/ polished improvisation/ scripted work and musical theatre) and be providing support and links to tv and film.
Then the most exciting of all, I'll be teaming up with Luca Toolan (Coronation Streets-Mason) who has his own acting school and at the end of each of my terms will be sponsoring a number of young people to attend his classes in Manchester Inc-travel.
This will give the young people an amazing opportunity to develop further and showcase their talent.
There is an 8 week turn around for The Arts Council funding, but I need to match fund 10%
The go fund me support with pay for minimal publicity and marketing costs and will then go in the pot to provide the sponsorships.
I will be working freely in my own time to make this happen.
Just like my project is titled.
Im turning PAIN into PASSION
The deep desire to make change in communities.
There's so much hidden talent out there, young people just need a helping hand, a push in the right direction and all the belief in them to follow thier dreams and achieve there goals.
Let's make this happen
