We're still collecting donations

The aim of our project is to raise funds to provide essential items delivered to local communities and the most vulnerable groups.

On the 16th June 2020 we'd raised £100 with 1 supporters in 56 days. But as every pound matters, we're continuing to collect donations from supporters.
Tryd initially started as an idea by the co-founder Erkut Ozer in early 2018. The idea came when he was visiting the post office, noticing the amount of people queueing to return clothes bought from the many online high street retailers, he posed the question; ‘How do we reduce the amount of returns for retailers and still allow consumers the choice of online purchases without the hassle of returns?’ The answer to this was Tryd. The idea was a simple one, we provide customers with a same-day delivery service, with the added benefit of our Try Before You Buy service allowing the customers to try these items on, in the comfort of their own homes.
With the outbreak of the Covid-19 crisis, we were forced to re-evaluate our offering. As our existing fashion partners were forced to temporarily close, we have re-envisioned our service to help shoppers who are struggling to acquire everyday essentials and a fast delivery. Accordingly, we create Tryd Essentials, an online shop providing customers with essential shopping items, from toilet rolls, eggs and canned goods all delivered same-day by our network of e-cargo bikes.
Tryd has also been very highly received by leading organisations and industry professionals. We have been working with the Zero Emissions Network, an initiative supported by Hackney, Tower Hamlets, Islington Councils and the Mayor of London. Tryd was also nominated as one of the Top 20 Retail Startups Companies to watch in 2020 by the RTIH (Retail Technology Innovation Hub) a leading market authority.
We will use any funding that we receive to increase our rider network, by employing more riders on National Living Wage and purchasing more e-cargo bikes. This will allow us to deliver to wider coverage areas as well as providing key essentials to the most vulnerable groups. Together we can help make London a more community driven city, where the needs of the many are the main priority.
We ask project owners to honour their rewards wherever possible but please note that all pledges are donations and there is no guarantee that you will receive any rewards from the project owner. Please see Crowdfunder's Terms of Use for more information regarding rewards for pledges.
